What is your background?
We are Claudia and Sebastian; individually we both have been around the corners for a long time! Time and again we ended up not knowing what to do with our own relationship difficulties but seeing other peoples’ problems with 20/20 vision! Funny thing was that as we talked about it to people said they said they felt the same! Ex’es would behave in the same way time and again and good friends would fall into the same traps or behave in the same self destructive ways or indeed get the same solutions to problems without ever meeting! That’s when we thought of the community “lovetrouble.net”
How do I know I will be treated with respect, empathy and support?
You don’t until you try; if that is how you treat others, there won’t be a problem. We hope that we can become an online family, maybe you’ll be closer to some members than others, but we will all be family.
Is this a pay site?
No. We want to try and run it as a free site if we can. Obviously we will keep reviewing this but our intention and desire is to remain free and help as many people who need help as we can. If there is any change we will let people know BEFORE any change occurs. Obviously the more people use the site and pass it on to friends then the better for everyone, so tell your friends, get them involved and keep joining in with your stories, questions and insights.
What are we not allowed to discuss?
Almost everything is on the table. Our only firm rule is that no names or other identifying details of other persons should be put on the site and no foul language, though suitably asterisked words will be permitted! As\administrators we will only delete a message in extreme circumstances.
Who chose the discussion topics and on what basis?
We did, on the basis of the sort of things we and our friends have discussed over the years. Also we are trying to keep a degree of structure so the site can be updated in different languages in due course. We think that most aspects of a relationship and it’s different circumstances can be covered in at least one of the 8 headings we have selected; beneath those any threads you like can be added. If you have suggestions please let us know and we will try and incorporate good ideas. We have put a coffee shop hangout zone area for general non-specific chit chat and a news blog which we will add relevant news items to as they become available. We should be careful to keep the site’s discussion forums as well organised as possible and to avoid starting a new discussion when the subject already has a thread.
Is the site for men or women?
It is open to both sexes; as long as you are sincere and respect other people you are welcome. Both sexes have their experiences, their insights and their perspectives. Both are welcome.
Are we allowed to exchange personal details with others if we want?
It is your forum, if you want to communicate privately with someone just use the private message facility.
Is there anything we can do to help?
Yes, tell your friends and use the forum like a coffee shop where you meet all your friends. As you post more you will move up a series of ranks as a member, starting with “Newbie” and ending with “Got-the-tee-shirt!” Have a good time and move up the ranks! Please don’t forget to submit your own quotes for inclusion on the site. We all need to hear good ones!
